General
1. Information on how to enter the 'Is It You' competition (The Competition) and prizes form part of these conditions of entry.
2. The Competition is run by Cat Media Pty Limited (the Company) to identify the most
youthful looking Skin Doctors™ customers in three (3)
age groups.
3. The age group categories are over thirty (30), over forty (40) and over fifty (50) years old.
How to Enter
4. Entry forms may be obtained in participating Skin Doctors™ retail outlets or by visiting www.skindoctors.com.au
5. To be eligible to enter, entrants must:
(i) be over thirty (30) years old;
(ii) correctly complete an entry form and entrant consent form
(iii) respond to the questionnaire
(iv) provide at least one face photo at passport photo size or above
(please feel free to include as many photos as you wish at larger sizes if you wish)
(v) send all information required in paragraphs (i) – (v) to Cat Media Pty Ltd, Reply Paid 384, Monavale NSW 1660.
(vi) attach proof of purchase of at least one Skin Doctors product.
Proof of purchase can be a copy of a receipt or barcode from an original
Skin Doctors™ pack.
6. Each finalist may be asked to provide the Company with a copy of a passport
or driver's licence as proof of age and must be able to do so if requested.
7. Only one (1) entry per person is permitted.
8. Completed entries must be received by the Company no later than July 31st, 2008.
9. Incomplete entries will be disqualified.
10. The Company will not be responsible for mail delays or misplaced or lost entries.
Photographs
11. The photo must be of a reasonably high quality and not be modified, amended,
enhanced, or otherwise altered in any way.
12. All photos sent to the Company become the property of the Company and will not be returned.
13. Entrants must grant to the Company all necessary rights and permissions
to use the photographs provided as contemplated by these conditions of
entry including by publishing such photographs in or on any medium whatsoever,
including newspapers, magazines or on the internet, without any
requirement to make payment or obtain permissions from third parties.
If any person makes a claim against the Company as the result of the publication
of such photograph, the entrant must indemnify the Company against such claim.
14. Entrants who win prizes and finalists must be available to attend a
photographic shoot and agree to be professionally photographed by the company.
15. Entrants must be Australian Citizens or Permanent Residents to be eligible.
16. Eligibility to participate is subject to compliance with these conditions of
entry and the rules and regulations of the state or territory where each
entrant lives.
17. Employees of the Company, related companies, parents, subsidiaries,
affiliates and their immediate families are not eligible to enter.
18. Entrants must notify the Company in writing of any changes of address or phone numbers.
19. Winners who cannot be reached at the address or phone number in their
completed entry form will be disqualified.
Finalists and Competition Criteria
20. There will be nine finalists, at least one (1) from each age category,
selected by our judges in accordance with the Competition criteria.
21. The criteria will be based on how youthful each entrant looks for their age,
how suitable their appearance reflects the Skin Doctors brand, and the best
responses to the questionnaire in the opinion of the judges.
22. Finalists will notified by mail by September 5th, 2008 and their names will also be published in the The Australian on September 8th, 2008.
23. The nine (9) finalists will appear in an advertisement and the public will be
given the opportunity to vote for each finalist.
24. The votes will be collected in regard to the nine (9) finalists and the Company
will select three (3) winners based on the finalists with the highest
number of public votes in each age category.
25. The Company reserves the right to interpret these rules and, if necessary,
to amend the rules at its sole discretion and without notice to individual
entrants. Any amendments to the rules or changes in prizes will be published in
The Australian and online at www.skindoctors.com.au.
Winners and Prizes
26. The judges' decision and interpretation of these conditions of entry are
final and no correspondence will be entered into.
27. Each first prize winner from each agecategory will win:
(i) fifteen thousand dollars ($15,000);
(ii) a stylist for a day, a new outfit, hairstyle, manicure and make-over and a professional
photo shoot, valued at approximately three thousand dollars ($3,000); and
(iii) $2,000 worth of Skin Doctors™ products as valued by their recommended retail price
(iv) the opportunity to appear in a Skin Doctors™ advertisement.
28. The Company will further select from the nine (9) finalists,
three (3) second prize runner-up winners, one from each category, at their sole discretion,
and second prize runners-up will receive:
(i) five thousand dollars ($5,000);
(ii) a stylist for a day, a new outfit, hairstyle, manicure
and make-over and a professional photo shoot, valued at
approximately three thousand dollars ($3,000); and
(iii) $2,000 worth of Skin Doctors™ products as valued by their recommended retail price;
(iv) the opportunity to appear in a Skin Doctors™ advertisement.
29. The Company will further select from the nine (9) finalists,
three (3) third prize runner-up winners, one from each category, at their sole discretion,
and third prize runners-up will receive:
(i) one thousand dollars ($1,000);
(ii) a stylist, a new outfit, hairstyle, manicure and make-over and a
professional photo shoot, valued at approximately one thousand five hundred dollars
($1,500); and
(iii) $500 worth of Skin Doctors™ products as valued by their recommended retail price
(iv) the opportunity to appear in a Skin Doctors™ advertisement.
30. Winners and runner-up winners will be notified on September 1st, 2008
and their names will also be published in the The Australian on September 5th, 2008.
31. The total prize pool value is $100,000.
Competition winners are responsible for all applicable taxes.
32. No responsibility or liability is accepted for any variation
in the value of the prizes.
All prize values are in Australian dollars. In the event that any prize
item is not available, the Company reserves the right to substitute a different prize of equal
or greater value. Prizes are not transferable and non cash
prizes cannot be taken as cash.
33. Entry into the Competition constitutes the entrants consent to permit
the Company, and any of its affiliated companies, to use the entrants personal
information including name and age, the photograph supplied with the entry form,
questionnaire responses (in whole or in part) and any other
information provided to the Company by the entrant pursuant to this
Competition in any media and in any manner whatsoever, without limitation or
restriction, including for promotional and advertising purposes to promote the Company,
its business and related companies.
34. Entrant evaluations are confidential and will not be disclosed.
Privacy
35. The Company is bound by the National Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
Entrants can request access to the personal information the
Company holds about them by contacting the Company's Privacy Officer on [02 9997 1466]. The Company's privacy policy
is available on the Company's
web site www.skindoctors.com.au.
Disclaimer
36 To the extent permitted by law, the Company, its authorised distributors and related companies including the directors, officers, and employees of any
of them will not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever (including but not limited to direct or consequential loss) or personal injury suffered or
sustained as a result of participation in or winning this Competition.
37. The Company reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Competition for any reason whatsoever without liability.
